Thomas David Cooper was the seventh child,
fifth son of James Fountain Cooper and Lucyann Missouri Levins Cooper. Tom was born
on November 8, 1893 at the James F. Cooper homestead in Harold, Florida.
Tom's siblings were: Charles Robinson Cooper born 1880, George Washington Cooper
born 1882, James Urwin Cooper born 1884, Lorina Cooper born 1886, John Jordan Cooper
born 1889, Bessie Elizabeth Cooper born 1891, Arlie Olevia Cooper born 1896, Susie Idell
Cooper born 1898, Andrew Jackson Cooper born 1901, and Leila Agnes Cooper born 1904.
Around the age of 27 Tom married Vida Senterfitt and in February of 1921 they had their
first child, Dorthy Adeline Cooper. They had three more children, Grady Lee Cooper born
in 1923, Martha Louise Cooper born in 1926 and Talmadge Dewitt Cooper born in 1928.
Tom was a hard working carpenter and a devote member of the First Baptist Church in Holt,
Florida.
Tom died on December 3, 1946 in Holt, Florida. His final resting-place is in the new Holt
Cemetery in Holt, Florida.
