Biography

Mary was the first child of seven children born of Alexander Adams and Susan Bishop. She was born on November 9, 1888. Here siblings were: George David Adams, Hardy Adams, Curtis Adams, Earl Mince Adams, Louis Hosea Adams and John Wesley Adams.

Mary married George Washington Cooper on September 29, 1907 in Santa Rosa County,

Mary and George had their one and only child, Morris Bryant (Skinny) Cooper on April 10, 1909.

1909

Mary's husband , George died in 1945 so Edna went to work at Eglin AFB in the commissary and food services and worked there until the early 1950s. She kept the farm going with a few head of cattle. After 'retiring' from Civil Service, she milked the cows and sold the milk to the local residents who still liked their milk unpasteurized.  She enjoyed going fishing with her brother, Hosea (Hose). 1945

Mary passed away on December 30, 1969. Her final resting place is next to her husband in the Holt Cemetery in Holt, Florida.
