When James Fountain (Jim) Cooper, fourth son of John Jordan Cooper, was 52 years old he built this large brick building with glass windows facing the railroad in Holt, Florida.
It was a dry goods store where he and his second son, George Washington Cooper ran a thriving business. Early in 1916,  J. Cooper & Son's building was gutted by fire.

This photograph was taken circa 1915 in Holt, Florida
