"Cooper", as he was known by his family and all of his close friends, moved on to another life early this morning around 1:00 AM, March 3, 2004, at the  Santa Rosa Hospital. He had not been doing well over the past several weeks, but it was thought that he would pull through. He was taken to the hospital early Friday morning but his 76 year old body was unable to overcome the problem. Floyd was a semi-retired accountant but was still very active. Because we are in the midst of the tax season, it is believed that he over exerted himself trying to get all the tax work done before the deadline.

Services are planned for Monday, April 5, 2004, at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, visitation will be from 2-3 PM and the service will begin at 3:00 PM.  The final resting place will be at Hickory Hammock Cemetery.
